WWE's History with Japanese Stars May Be Bad News for Kenta

Gossipy tidbits were whirling for quite a long time, however it at last happened: Kenta marked with WWE. Presently, he simply needs to verify he doesn't succumb to the same thing that has tormented each other Japanese star who's ever worked for Vince Mcmahon.

Kenta Kobayashi is viewed as a standout amongst the most capable specialized wrestlers on the planet, actually rousing some of WWE's top ability to acquire some of his moves.

CM Punk's GTS was taken from Kenta, as was Daniel Bryan's flying knee. His impact is felt everywhere throughout the universe of wrestling, and the fellow is just 33 years of age. Discuss cutting out your legacy early.

Sadly for Mr. Kobayashi, WWE doesn't precisely have the best history regarding the matter of how it books its Japanese stars. They either wind up being utilized as comic drama characters, put at the base/center of the card or wind up being discharged.

Mr. Fuji was likely the last WWE Superstar who had a nice vocation with the organization, with each Japanese star who's taken after missing the mark concerning his prosperity. You should simply take a gander at history to see the example.

Plans for The Miz and Sheamus

It creates the impression that this is simply the start of something longer.

As per F4wonline (h/t Wrestlezone), The Miz and Sheamus will fight for the following few weeks, conceivably even until Summerslam. The fluky nature of The Miz's win, their rematch nearing after a night and the way that they are both entering the Battleground Fight Regal are signs that this is valid.

The greater inquiry will be if the competition will be constructed around the Unites States title or in the event that it will be a champion-versus-champion undertaking ought to The Miz win the WWE Intercontinental Title at the pay-every perspective.

Since back then it’s been something that I’ve always loved, and to be able to perform and meet Vince McMahon and see how humble and cool everyone was… it’s almost like family.”
Though Monday will be Flo Rida’s first appearance on Raw, he has a long history with the WWE. Flo Rida performed in front of his hometown crowd at a sold-out Sun Life Stadium duringWrestleMania 28 prior to The Rock’s match with John Cena.

WWE to Reportedly Retire Major Championship Belt After Raw?

The WWE has been rife with the talk over the last year of changes to championship belts, with perhaps the most notable change the amalgamation of the WWE and World Heavyweight Championship belts late last year.
Well, since Randy Orton became the first ever WWE World Heavyweight champion after defeating John Cena, the WWE has persisted with having the champ carry around two belts. But it seems those plans are about to change, after the actions of John Cena, amongst others, on Raw. Marc Middleton of WrestlingInc reports:
There's speculation that WWE retired the World Heavyweight Title belt or the "big gold belt" on Monday's RAW.
As seen before the main event, WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena met Ric Flair on the stage and let him raise the "big gold belt" in the air. Cena then told Flair to keep the belt and Flair left with it.
Several fans pointed out that JBL made a reference to there only being one title earlier in the show.
OK, so this may not be earth-shattering news, but it is still an important step for the WWE moving forward. So far it has felt silly having one champion carry around two belts, for a whole host of reasons.
First and foremost, it keeps the possibility alive that the WWE are going to split the two championships at some point in the near future, a move that would be highly controversial, in all fairness. With the likes of Randy Orton and John Cena perilously close to touching Ric Flair's all-time record of world title victories, it was well overdue that the WWE went back to one major championship.
And as we're mentioning Flair, that leads nicely to the next point. If the move to just one championship belt has transpired, then it's fitting the WWE let Flair take the "big gold belt" home with him.
Simply retiring the belt and letting it waste away would have been a shocking move, so it was a nice touch for Cena, the man who is close to overtaking Flair, to hand over the belt to remind everyone who is the all-time record holder in terms of world title victories.
Again, it's not massive news, but it's certainly a smart move on behalf of the WWE.

AJ Lee vs. Paige at Battleground Will Forecast the WWE Divas Division's Future

Sometimes it's downright bizarre how different from each other NXT and the main roster WWE shows are. NXT is one hour a week and managed very economically with an interesting mix of old school studio wrestling, modern indie wrestling, and WWE production, while Raw can be bloated and monotonous. One of the most glaring differences, though, is how NXTpresents female wrestlers.

On the main shows, while the presentation has been heavily toned down with less revealing outfits and overtly sexual content, the Divas division, even in title matches, isn't exactly presented as "serious wrestling" the same way that the key men's matches are. There are also less completely unqualified women getting TV time in the ring each week. Still, Naomi, who's a great athlete with promise as a wrestler, uses a flying butt attack called the "Rear View" because she has a big butt.
On top of all that, the women's matches are given too little time to develop, and they're generally treated like afterthoughts. As bad asWWE announcing has been lately, it's at its worst during the women's matches, with Michael Cole, John Layfield, and Jerry Lawler all sounding bored out of their skulls to the point they sound like they're gonna fall asleep. They don't even try to hide it.

WWE Raw Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from July 14

On the July 14 WWE Raw, the company limped more than it strode toward Battleground.
The go-home show before Sunday's pay-per-view added anticipation for Rusev vs. Jack Swagger and the Fatal 4-Way main event, but the night featured a lot of tepid fare. A number of solid-not-great bouts, a brief appearance by Ric Flair and Damien Sandow's latest costume change left fans underwhelmed.
Fans won't find any Match of the Year candidates here, but the in-ring action had its moments.
The biggest talking point coming out of Monday's Raw will be something that wasn't actually a part of the show—a commercial forWWE 2K15 featuring Sting.
The following is a look at how entertaining the matches and segments were, how well WWE told its stories and built hype for Battleground. Results, letter grades and highlights provide the full picture of what went down in the Richmond Coliseum.
