Sehwag to quit T20 cricket?
Explosive India batsman Virender Sehwag is all set to
quit twenty-twenty cricket in order to concentrate playing in Tests and
fifty over format.
By Espnstar.com"Viru wants to quit T20 cricket with immediate effect. He would rather prefer giving some more time to the fifty-over game, but as far as the shortest format in international cricket is concerned, he is just not interested any more," a source close to Virender Sehwag said.
Earlier, it was reported in media that Sehwag had approached BCCI officials and informed them of his intentions.
However, Sehwag in a tweet, categorically denied such reports as "another baseless story."
"Another baseless story being run! I have not requested to be rested for any match in any format of the game! Fingers crossed, raring to go!" tweeted Sehwag.
Sehwag had relinquished Delhi Daredevils captaincy before the Champions League Twenty20 2012 (CLT20) that was held in South Africa.
